Carfast accepts vehicle payments by wire transfer only. Clea enables you to fund in Naira, convert to USD and send the complete amount on your Carfast invoice from Nigeria.
After you win a vehicle, Carfast sends the payment notification and bank details to your email and account.
Vehicle purchases cannot be paid by debit card, credit card, PayPal, Zelle, MoneyGram, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The accepted method is bank wire transfer.
Your payment must cover the complete invoice, including the vehicle price and applicable auction charges.
Carfast also warns that intermediary banks may deduct fees from international wires. If this happens, Carfast receives less than the amount due and the buyer remains responsible for the outstanding balance.
Clea gives Nigerian buyers a clearer route: fund in Naira, review the conversion and payment cost, and send the approved USD amount using the instructions on the invoice.
After winning, open your Carfast account and review the invoice. Confirm the vehicle, lot number, total amount due, beneficiary details and payment deadline.
Create your Clea account, complete verification and submit the Carfast invoice. Add the beneficiary exactly as it appears in the official wire instructions.
Transfer Naira from your Nigerian bank account into your dedicated Clea account. You do not need to maintain a domiciliary account or arrange payment through someone abroad.
Review the exchange rate, applicable fees and Naira amount required. Convert to USD and send the approved payment using the Carfast wire details and invoice reference.
Monitor the transfer from your Clea dashboard. Carfast will also send an email when it receives the payment, and you can check the current status from your Carfast account.
Carfast requires payment within three business days after you win the vehicle.
The company recommends sending the payment by the second day to allow time for bank-wire processing. Late payments currently attract a fee of $50 for every business day the invoice remains unpaid.
Failure to complete the purchase can lead to loss of your security deposit, relisting of the vehicle, a relisting charge of $600 or 10% of the vehicle price (whichever is higher), and an additional transaction fee based on your membership plan.
Start your Clea transaction as soon as the final Carfast invoice becomes available.
Fund Clea in Naira and complete the required USD wire without first sourcing dollars elsewhere.

See the exchange rate and applicable Clea fees before confirming your conversion and transfer.
