Thousands of vehicles, containers, and commercial shipments move from North America to Africa every year. Behind many of those journeys is Fachel Shipping, a logistics company that moves vehicles, heavy equipment, containers, and general cargo across international markets. With freight services covering ocean, air, and inland transportation, Fachel supports shipments into Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, Senegal, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Niger, and other West African markets.
Fachel Shipping has now joined the Clea Vendor Network as an approved vendor. Clea customers can now pay Fachel directly in Vendor Payments with a few taps. Because Fachel is part of the network, payments settle instantly after authorisation.
Fachel is one of many payments an importer has to make, and that’s the problem the vendor network is built to solve. There’s the purchase itself, then shipping fees, freight and logistics charges, and other businesses along the way. Each one usually means tracking down separate account details and moving money outside whatever platform the importer is already using. That’s what the Clea Vendor Network is meant to fix. We’re bringing the businesses African importers already rely on into the same payment experience, starting with the ones customers use most often.
For Clea customers who already work with Fachel, nothing changes about the relationship. What changes is how the payment gets made. Instead of leaving Clea to look up Fachel’s account details to complete a transfer, customers select Fachel inside the app and pay from there.
Here’s how it works.
- Open Vendors when you want to make a payment
- Select Fachel Shipping & Logistics
- Choose Set Up & Pay
- Enter the amount and any reference needed for the shipment
- Review and authorise the payment
Because Fachel’s payment details are already configured in the network, there’s no beneficiary information to enter and no old payment instructions to dig up. Once authorised, the payment settles instantly. For the full walkthrough, see how to access and make a vendor payment on Clea.
Fachel won’t be the only vendor customers find this way. It’s the latest addition to a growing list of approved businesses on Clea. As more shipping companies, auction platforms, logistics providers, and foreign suppliers join the network, more of the payments that make up an import can be handled from the same place customers already manage their international transactions. That’s the direction we’re building toward, easy, instant payments to businesses overseas.
